Taster Course / Workshops *

You can choose a course of 3 or individual workshops.

These workshops are suitable for you if you want an introduction to designing with flowers. They will cover one traditional design, one contemporary design and one free-style design. Flower care is covered and Hans will provide lots of practical hints and tips.

SATURDAY MORNINGS - 10.00 – 12.30

Flower Workshops */**

You can choose individual workshops. They cover a wide variety of mostly contemporary floral designs. You will also learn different techniques. Unusual flowers and interesting leaves/foliages are a highlight of the Flower Workshops.

These workshops are suitable for any level of experience – from novices to experienced designers (and attract a varied ‘bunch’ – very sociable and welcoming). These workshops appeal to those who want to learn and especially enjoy both the flowers and the social aspect of floral design!

Designer Workshops ***

You can choose a course of 3 or individual workshops.

These workshops are suitable for you if you have some experience and want to develop both your design and technical ability. These workshops concentrate mainly on contemporary and free-style floral designs. They will also help you ‘think outside the box’ and to develop your own style! Beautiful and unusual flowers, leaves/foliages and accessories are a highlight of the Designer Workshops.

Seasonal Workshops */**

You can choose individual workshops.

Topics are seasonal with a trendy twist. They always include interesting, trend-led accessories that are exclusive to Hans Flowers – FLOWER SCHOOL. Materials are always plentiful. These workshops are suitable for any level of experience – from novices to experienced designers.

Church Flowers **/***

You can choose a course of 3 or individual workshops.

Volunteering to do flowers in church is a great way to get some practical experience. You can experiment and try out new things, as well as developing your knowledge and technical abilities. These workshops are suitable for you if do (or want to do) Church Flowers and wish to develop your design and technical skills. They are practical hands-on workshops where Hans will provide inspiration and guidance on creativity and design.

He will concentrate on practicality (e.g. watering), costs (what provides best value/impact for money) and design (how to be creative especially when flowering the same locations).

Wedding Flowers **/***

You can choose a course of 3 or individual workshops.

These workshops are suitable for you if you create/wish to create Wedding Flowers and want to develop your design and technical skills to achieve stunning results. Design is very important, especially in the use of colour and texture. But technical skills are essential with wedding flowers as designs are constructed specifically to suit their use or placement. These aspects will form the backbone to Hans’s teaching. He will also provide many practical hints and tips to help you gain the most from these workshops.
